First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests whether implanting special dopamine-making stem cells into the brain is safe for people with Parkinson's disease. About 12 participants aged 45 to 75 will receive the cells during a surgical procedure. The study will monitor side effects and check for changes in brain function and daily 'on' time without severe symptoms.
