Stand up for your health: simple swap cuts blood sugar spikes

NCT ID NCT04645875

Summary

This study tested whether replacing sitting time with standing and light walking could improve daily blood sugar control. It involved 18 South Asian adults with overweight or obesity who normally sat a lot. Participants tried two different 4-day routines: one with lots of sitting and one where they swapped at least 5 hours of sitting for standing and walking.
