Major UK trial aims to extend lives of men with spreading prostate cancer

Summary

This large UK trial is testing if adding one of two new treatments to standard hormone therapy helps men live longer with prostate cancer that has spread. One treatment uses highly targeted radiation (SABR) on a few cancer spots, and the other uses a radioactive drug (Lu-PSMA) that seeks out and destroys cancer cells. The study will involve over 3,300 participants to see which approach best slows the cancer's spread and improves survival.
