Can a few minutes of stairs daily beat high blood pressure?
NCT ID NCT06952348
Summary
This study aims to see if adding short daily stair climbing to regular brisk walking lowers high blood pressure more effectively than walking alone in inactive adults who are overweight and have hypertension. It will involve 450 participants split into three groups: one combining stair and brisk walking, one doing brisk walking only, and a control group getting general advice. The goal is to find a simple, low-cost activity plan that doctors can recommend to help control heart and metabolic health risks.
