Pulse oximeter accuracy under scrutiny for kids of color

Summary
This study is checking whether a Nihon Kohden pulse oximeter accurately measures blood oxygen levels in children with different skin tones. About 180 children, from newborns to 12 years old, who are already in the cardiac intensive care unit with an arterial line will take part. The goal is to see if the device works equally well for all skin colors.
