New scan aims to better detect liver tumors

NCT ID NCT07353333

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early study will test a special imaging agent that targets a protein found on liver cancer cells. Six people with suspected or confirmed liver cancer will receive a low-dose radioactive tracer and then have a SPECT-CT scan. The goal is to see how the tracer moves through the body and whether it can help doctors see tumors more clearly. This is a first step to see if the method is safe and could be used for future treatment.
