New depression pill SP-624 enters Mid-Stage trial

Summary
This study tests whether a daily oral drug called SP-624 can safely reduce depression symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder. About 456 participants will receive either SP-624 or a placebo for several weeks. The main goal is to see if SP-624 leads to a greater improvement in depression scores compared to placebo.
