First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study will test whether the drug sotatercept can reverse damage to the lung's blood vessels in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Researchers will use special imaging techniques to look inside the arteries and see if they become healthier over 9 months. The study plans to enroll 30 adults with PAH.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

sotatercept

What this could lead to

If it works, this could point toward a treatment that reverses lung artery damage in pulmonary hypertension, potentially improving blood flow and symptoms.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 30 participants. It is not yet recruiting, and the main goal is to see if the drug changes blood vessel structure, not to prove it improves outcomes. There may be risks from the imaging procedures.
