First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tested the safety of a new treatment called sonodynamic therapy for people with newly diagnosed high-grade glioma, a fast-growing brain cancer. Sixteen participants received a light-sensitive drug (5-ALA) combined with focused ultrasound before their standard surgery and follow-up treatments. The goal was to see if this approach is safe and to look for early signs of tumor-fighting effects.
