New bone graft shows promise for saving jawbone after tooth loss
NCT ID NCT07250256
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at how well a special bone graft material (xenograft) helps preserve the socket left after a tooth is pulled. Sixteen men with a hopeless back tooth had the socket filled with this material. After 4 months, the researchers used 3D scans and tissue samples to check bone healing. The goal was to see if this method keeps the bone strong enough for a future dental implant.
