Summary

This study looks at whether new guidelines can help doctors make fairer decisions about who gets advanced heart failure treatments like heart transplants and heart pumps. Researchers will work with over 1,400 patients and doctors at transplant centers across the U.S. to reduce unfair differences based on race or gender. The goal is to replace subjective judgments with clear, objective criteria so that more people of color and women receive these life-saving therapies.
