New study aims to help salvation army clients kick the habit for good

Summary

This study looks at how Salvation Army staff can best help people who smoke learn about and use free programs to quit. About 233 adults who receive services at participating Salvation Army sites will take part. Researchers will test different ways to encourage staff to refer clients to the Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line and track how many people actually enroll and stop smoking.
