Tiny app study tests if phones can help kick the habit

NCT ID NCT05038852

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This small pilot study looked at whether using a mobile app can help adults stop smoking. Eight people who already get smoking-cessation treatment at MD Anderson used either a positive-thinking app or a relaxation app. The main goal was to see how well people stick with using the app, not to measure quitting success.
