New program aims to protect kids from secondhand smoke in at-risk homes

Summary

This study tests a program that combines two proven approaches: one to help families set smoke-free home rules, and another to reduce child maltreatment. About 268 mothers involved with child protective services will take part. The goal is to lower children's exposure to secondhand smoke and improve parenting.
