Phone app could catch eye cancer early
NCT ID NCT03016156
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested a smartphone app called CRADLE that looks for a white glow in the pupil (leukocoria), which can be a sign of retinoblastoma, cataracts, or glaucoma. The goal was to see how well the app works compared to a doctor's eye exam. Only one person took part before the study ended, so results are limited.
