First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is testing a treatment called sacral neuromodulation, which uses mild electrical pulses to stimulate nerves that control the bowel and bladder. The goal is to see if it can reduce symptoms like severe constipation, stomach pain, and loss of bowel control in children aged 3 to 18 with gut motility disorders. Researchers will use brain scans and computer models to understand how the treatment works and who it helps best.
