First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested whether special crutches that give feedback to patients can help them follow doctor's orders about how much weight to put on their injured leg. Twenty people with certain types of leg fractures used either regular crutches or smart crutches that tracked their weight-bearing. The goal was to see if the feedback improved healing and recovery time.
