NCT ID NCT05825079

First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tested whether crutches that give feedback to patients help them follow doctor's orders about how much weight to put on their healing leg. Twenty people with certain types of leg fractures used either regular crutches or smart crutches that tracked their weight-bearing. The goal was to see if the feedback improved how well patients followed instructions and how quickly they healed.
