First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether gradually lowering opioid doses over time affects pain, quality of life, and mood in people with chronic non-cancer pain. 18 adults on stable opioid therapy were followed to compare slow tapering versus staying on their current dose. The goal was to see if tapering leads to any negative changes in health and well-being.
