Can your sleep predict surgery confusion?

Summary
This study aims to understand if a person's sleep and daily rhythm patterns before surgery can help predict who might experience confusion (delirium) after a major joint operation. Researchers will observe 150 adults aged 70+ having orthopedic surgery, tracking their sleep with a watch, collecting blood samples, and assessing their thinking before and after the procedure. The goal is to gather knowledge to help identify patients at higher risk, not to test a new treatment.
