First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at breathing during sleep in infants with myelomeningocele, a severe form of spina bifida. Researchers want to see if the risk of sleep breathing problems differs between babies who had surgery before birth versus after birth. They will also check how these breathing issues relate to the child's brain development at age 2. About 173 infants are being followed.
