Researchers probe hidden breathing dangers for spina bifida babies

NCT ID NCT04251806

Summary

This study aims to understand if sleep-related breathing problems are different for infants with severe spina bifida who had surgery before birth versus after birth. It will also check if these breathing issues are linked to how a child's thinking and movement skills develop by age two. Researchers are studying 173 infants to gather this information, which could help improve future care.
