Summary
This study looked at whether a portable sleep test (ambulatory polygraphy) done during a short hospital stay works as well as the standard overnight sleep test (polysomnography) for finding sleep apnea in people with multiple system atrophy (MSA). Thirty adults with probable MSA took part. The goal was to see if the simpler test could accurately diagnose sleep apnea, making it easier for patients to get tested.
