One and done: single radiation dose shows promise for prostate cancer

Summary
This study tests whether a single, very high dose of precisely targeted radiation can safely control intermediate-risk prostate cancer. About 200 men will receive one 24 Gray dose to the whole prostate, with some getting an extra boost to the main tumor. The goal is to reduce side effects by protecting the urethra and to monitor cancer control over 5 years.
