NCT ID NCT07310303
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether a hands-on practice session before knee replacement surgery could help patients feel less afraid and worried. 48 adults scheduled for knee replacement were split into two groups: one received standard education, the other a simulation-based session. Researchers measured surgical fear, fear of movement, and pain after surgery to see if the extra practice made a difference.
