Kidney transplant patients may get simpler drug routine
NCT ID NCT04773392
First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 30, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested whether a once-daily anti-rejection drug (EnvarsusXR) combined with azathioprine works as well as the standard twice-daily drug combo after a kidney transplant. The goal was to prevent organ rejection while keeping the kidney working and the patient alive. The study was stopped early and enrolled only 20 people, so results are limited.
