Summary

This study tests whether sildenafil (a drug often used for erectile dysfunction) can help people with severe high blood pressure in the lungs caused by rheumatic heart valve disease. About 100 adults will receive either sildenafil or a placebo for six weeks. The goal is to see if it improves walking distance and heart function while waiting for surgery.
