First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tested two different nerve block techniques to control pain after shoulder arthroscopic surgery. Fifty adults were randomly assigned to receive either a serratus posterior superior intercostal plane block or a combination of suprascapular and axillary nerve blocks. The main goal was to see which method delayed the need for additional pain medication and provided better pain relief in the first 24 hours after surgery.
