Shorter antibiotic course may be just as effective for blood infection

Summary
This study tests whether 7 days of antibiotics works as well as the standard 14 days for treating a serious bloodstream infection caused by Pseudomonas bacteria. About 300 adults who have already received 6 days of treatment will be randomly assigned to stop at 7 days or continue for 14 days. The goal is to see if shorter treatment leads to fewer side effects and less antibiotic use without increasing the risk of death or recurrence.
