Shockwave therapy for heart disease: a new way to crush calcium?

Summary
This study tests a special device that uses sound waves to break up hard calcium deposits in heart arteries before placing a stent. About 408 adults with coronary artery disease will receive this treatment. The goal is to see if it is safe and effective at clearing blockages to improve blood flow.
