Shockwave therapy may unblock hardened arteries for Life-Saving aortic repair

Summary
This study tests a special catheter that uses sound waves (shockwaves) to break up calcium buildup in the leg arteries. This makes it easier for doctors to place a large stent in the aorta to treat aortic disease. The study will include 40 adults with severely calcified arteries who need this procedure. The goal is to see if the shockwave treatment is safe and effective in helping deliver the aortic stent.
