Summary
This study is testing whether the Shingrix vaccine, already used to prevent shingles, can also lower the risk of dementia in adults aged 76 and older. Over 33,000 participants in Finland will receive either the vaccine or a placebo. Researchers will track new dementia diagnoses over time to see if the vaccine offers added brain protection.
