First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding shiatsu—a type of gentle bodywork—to usual medical care can improve quality of life for children and teens (ages 10-18) with chronic pain that is not caused by inflammation. About 40 participants will receive one 30-minute shiatsu session each week for six weeks and fill out questionnaires about their well-being. The goal is to see if this complementary therapy helps reduce the burden of pain on daily life.
