First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026

Summary

This study tests a newer, skin-sparing surgery called SHAPE against the standard Milligan-Morgan procedure for people with severe (third- and fourth-degree) hemorrhoids. About 68 adults will be randomly assigned to one of the two surgeries. The main goal is to see which approach causes less pain after the operation, with follow-up also checking for complications like infection.
