First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether empagliflozin, a diabetes drug, can improve blood sugar control in people who have had islet transplants but still have partial pancreas function. About 40 adults will take either a placebo or one of two doses of the drug for 3 months. The goal is to see if the drug helps keep blood sugar in a healthy range and reduces the need for insulin.
