Massive hospital data review seeks clues to deadly sepsis complication

NCT ID NCT06373159

Summary

This study analyzed existing medical records from over 5,700 adults in Japan who had sepsis, a life-threatening blood infection. Researchers looked back at hospital data to understand how often sepsis leads to a dangerous blood clotting problem called DIC. The goal was to gather real-world information on how common this complication is, when it happens, and what treatments patients received.
