One-Week semaglutide pause may cut endoscopy risks
NCT ID NCT07152756
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study will compare two groups of people having an endoscopy: those who stopped taking semaglutide for one week beforehand, and those who never took it. The goal is to see if stopping the drug reduces leftover food or liquid in the stomach, which can make the procedure safer and clearer. About 418 adults will take part, and researchers will also check for breathing problems during the procedure.
