Summary
This study tested a new self-management program designed to help people with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. The program taught 55 participants strategies for tracking symptoms, managing stress and pain, improving sleep, and adjusting diet. Researchers wanted to see if the program was practical, acceptable to patients, and showed early signs of improving quality of life and reducing symptoms.
