Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

secondhand cannabis smoke exposure

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help understand how secondhand cannabis smoke enters the body and inform public health guidelines.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early pilot study with only 200 healthy nonsmokers, so results may not apply to everyone. The exposure happens in real-world settings, making it hard to control all factors.
