Light boost for Kids' cavity treatment?
NCT ID NCT07250009
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether using a blue LED light after applying silver diamine fluoride (SDF) can better stop cavities in children's baby molars. Forty healthy kids aged 4-9 with cavities in their back baby teeth took part. After removing the decay, some teeth got SDF alone and others got SDF plus 20 seconds of LED light. The study measured cavity activity right after and one week later using a special laser device.
