Blood test for stent patients falls short: leg artery trial stopped early
NCT ID NCT04007055
First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at whether checking how well a common blood thinner (clopidogrel) works in people with leg artery disease could improve outcomes after angioplasty or stenting. The trial planned to enroll many participants but was stopped early after only 31 people joined. Researchers measured whether the treated artery stayed open without needing another procedure. The study was terminated, so results are limited.
