First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether scoliosis-specific corrective exercises, like the Schroth method, can improve physical fitness in teens with idiopathic scoliosis. Forty-two adolescents aged 10 to 19 with mild to moderate curves took part. They did either supervised exercises twice a week for 8 weeks or basic home exercises. Researchers measured muscle strength, aerobic capacity, and flexibility before and after the program.
