First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether putting special air filters (HEPA cleaners) in elementary school classrooms can lower the amount of viruses in the air and reduce how often students, teachers, and their families get sick. About 200 children and adults from inner-city schools will take part. Half the classrooms will get real filters, and half will get fake ones, to see if the filters truly help prevent viral infections.
