First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary

Twenty-eight participants will receive either the shoulder-focused rehab or a standard upper extremity program. The goal is to see if this approach helps with daily activities and reduces shoulder issues.

What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a new physical therapy approach to improve arm and shoulder function in people with Parkinson's disease.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 28 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The intervention is non-drug and relies on patient effort, which may limit effectiveness.
