Aiming for gold: new exercise program may sharpen air pistol performance

NCT ID NCT07681427

First seen Jul 02, 2026 · Last updated Jul 02, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a 12-week T10 exercise program, added to regular training, can improve shooting performance, balance, and reaction time in competitive air pistol athletes aged 18 to 40. Participants are randomly assigned to either the exercise program or their usual training alone. The goal is to see if sport-specific exercises can help shooters maintain stability and accuracy.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

T10 exercise program

What this could lead to

If effective, this program could become a standard training tool to help air pistol athletes improve their shooting accuracy and physical stability.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage trial with only 24 participants, so results may not apply to all athletes. The exercise program may not lead to significant improvements over regular training alone.
