New hope for young sarcoma patients after standard treatments fail
NCT ID NCT02945800
Summary
This study tested whether combining two chemotherapy drugs, nab-paclitaxel and gemcitabine, could help control cancer in teenagers and young adults whose bone or soft tissue sarcoma had returned or stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goals were to see if the combination could shrink or stop tumors from growing and to measure how long patients lived without their cancer getting worse. Researchers also closely monitored side effects to understand the treatment's safety.
