Spit test could replace blood draws for heart failure monitoring

NCT ID NCT06169540

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple saliva test can detect when heart failure is getting worse. Researchers will collect saliva and blood samples from 90 people, including those with stable heart failure, those hospitalized for it, and a control group. The goal is to see if molecules in saliva can accurately reflect heart failure status, potentially leading to a less invasive way to monitor the condition.
