First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether natural salicylates (similar to the active ingredient in aspirin) found in foods can help prevent preeclampsia, a serious pregnancy condition. Researchers will track the diets of 500 pregnant women and measure salicylate levels in their blood and urine. The goal is to see if these natural compounds affect blood vessel health in the placenta and reduce the risk of developing preeclampsia.
