First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone-based program called Circadian Reinforcement Therapy (CRT) could help people with major depression recover faster and avoid relapse after leaving a psychiatric hospital. The program focused on keeping a regular sleep-wake cycle and daytime activities. 103 adults hospitalized for depression used an app to track their mood and sleep, with the goal of improving recovery and reducing the need for readmission.
