Radiation boost may extend life in advanced kidney cancer

NCT ID NCT06583070

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a precise type of radiation (SABR) to standard drug therapy (targeted therapy plus immunotherapy) can help people with recurrent or metastatic kidney cancer live longer without their disease getting worse. About 300 participants will be enrolled, and researchers will compare outcomes between those who get radiation plus drugs versus drugs alone. The goal is to see if this combination improves local tumor control and overall survival.
