Summary
This study tests whether taking rutin (a plant compound found in buckwheat and citrus) along with vitamin C can reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in people with metabolic fatty liver disease (MASLD). 120 adults will take either rutin plus vitamin C, vitamin C alone, or follow a Mediterranean diet and exercise program for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the combination improves markers of liver injury better than vitamin C or lifestyle changes alone.
