First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests two types of non-invasive brain stimulation (rTMS) to help veterans stop smoking. About 56 veterans who smoke at least 10 cigarettes daily will receive either standard or precision-guided rTMS over three weeks. Researchers will measure how much smoking drops and track brain changes with scans to see which method works better.
